I love asmr, my best triggers are unintentional, crinkly noises from craft, or just a good speech pattern. However, i absolutely cannot stand whispering or soft spoken. I find it completely creepy, awkward and uncomfortable. However, I must be out of place as it seems like most of the videos posted involve girls whispering and I really have to dig to find ones that trigger me.

[Question] Does anyone else actually dislike whispering in ASMR?
The great majority of ASMR videos I've found feature the person whispering instead of speaking softly. For some reason, this makes me feel less relaxed and actually grates on me. I find soft-spoken voices that I can actually hear much more soothing. Anyone in the same boat? Any idea why content creators generally choose whispering over soft speaking?

ALBinwhisperland and Southern ASMR sounds both do soft spoken role plays that I think are creative and relaxing. Some of their videos are whispered but I think the titles specify.
